Hummingbirds Early Childcare Centre

We are a family owned and operated early childcare centre in east Auckland, situated at 9 Farmhouse Lane, St Johns.

Our purpose built preschool centre in east Auckland caters for children three months to six years. We are open from 7.30am-6.00pm Monday to Friday, except statutory holidays.

Owners, Tony and Diane Major are committed to providing a quality early child care centre to help meet the needs of children and families. They understand how critical the early years of a child's life are to ensure healthy development. Working together, parents and educators can do a lot to facilitate the development of these years.

Tony and Diane have three children aged 7, 13 and 17. Their children have all been users of early learning centre facilities and they have a good knowledge of what makes a day care centre work well. It is their aim to provide a service where parents are free to concentrate on the day at hand, secure in the knowledge that the emotional and developmental needs of their children are being met.

Diane is the Centre Director and holds a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE) and a Masters in Business Administration. She oversees curriculum, personnel and administration. Tony holds a Bachelor of Engineering and supports the finance, technology and maintenance aspects.

Because of our central location and easy access to other areas we are able to service the following suburbs: St Johns, Meadowbank, Glen Innes, Mt Wellington, St Heliers, Mission Bay, Kohimarama, Remuera, Glendowie.
